My newest creation with the GelliPlate is called Dark and Light.
I started with a black journal insert (Dylusions) and made a print with some cardboard and Dina Wakley Media Paint in Gilt.
The next layer was Dina Wakley Media Paint in Magenta, and I put on some 'bubbled plastic' for structure.
I put on another layer with white acrylic paint and little bubbled plastic, but I forgot to make a picture of it. After that I used the cardboard again, with yellow paint. I always use a 'Slow Drying Medium', it helps spreading the paint easily on the plate.
The next step was orange acrylic paint with a Dylusions stencil, cobwebs. Since I've started 'everything artsy' in my life I created a love for Halloween and everything what comes with it 🙂
It was not really dark and grungy enough for me, so I went on with Dina Wakley Media Paint in fuchsia, it is a deep, dark pinkish colour which I love. And, now the skulls stencil of Dylusions, one of my most favourite stencils of Dyan.
As a finishing touch I used the Skulls stencil again, but with the turquoise metallic paint from Ara. This paint works very well on the GelliPlate.
And wow, do you see the result on picture 3? I really love it. It has colour, it is grungy and you can see the skulls. I decide to draw a face with light colours, white acrylic as a good base layer. Pastel pencils from Derwent, and I coloured the iris with Neocolor Crayons. And this is what I made finally:
I hope you like the result.
